300 the movie, Kill Them All!

WARNING!! Movie spoiler review!!
Who doesn't enjoy a movie where the hero is a confident, hardcore, ass kicking badass? And who doesn't enjoy a movie with a hot woman dressed in old roman style clothing? I know a lot of people have reviewed this movie and have said that it was "ok". This is not an "OK" movie... This is one of the best movies that I have ever seen. It will be one for the record books, and a movie that people can always go back to watch when they are in the mood for a hard hitting action movie.
What happens in the movie:
The king of Sparta is visited by the messenger who delivers the message that Sparta must surrender or be destroyed. The king sends the messenger to his death along with his assassins and assembles an elite army of 300 men. The 300 men are Sparta's most skilled warriors and venture out on a journey that they will never return from. Their journey will never be forgotten by their Spartan bothers, as the 300 men cut a path through their enemies on the battlefield to prove that Sparta will bow before no man.
The "What?" reflex:
Now I believe a good movie is one where the "same ole" routines of the good guys win and everyone lives happily ever after. The key word of that being lives. The only part of the movie that I was turned off about was the hero dying. I know how much sense it makes that he dies for the story of the movie, but who wants to see their hero go down on the battlefield? If they didn't kill off the main characters, and at least a handful of people returned home, would it have been as good? Sure, why not return home, get all the others and go back to finish what they started. I think that would have been a good ending. But dying for a Spartan on the battlefield was an honor, a good death. So how can you argue with that? This is the only good movie where the hero dies.
Movie rating 5 star!
